- Kid’s Village
Kirsty Skilbeck & Stephen Curwood
Come and get dirty at the Mud Pie Kitchen. There will be soil and water, pots and pans, buckets and spoons. All the good stuff! Mix up a magical muddy brew and then have a go at making a mud pie mandala. We have been busy collecting lots of nature bits for you to play with including feathers, flowers, seeds and rocks. We’ll have a bit of a chat about what we’ve brought along as we create. You can take your pie away or put it on display.
Did you know mud can make you happy? Dirt contains microbes that are good for your gut and can give you a serotonin hit? The making of a mandala is a mediative process, looking for balance and reflecting the circle of life and the universe. Of course, if you just want to make a plain old pie or any other mud creation that’s also cool.
